As the Covid -19 pandemic continues, the Drop-N-Play team has been working in partnership with many schools, as well as surveying parents/guardians, to determine how we can best support families during this upcoming school year. As a result, we will be opening learning centers for students K-8.

  • Drop-N-Play learning centers will provide full-day care from 7:30am – 2:30 pm, Monday – Friday with an extended after care option until 6:30pm.

  • Students will receive academic support, social enrichment, and physical fitness activities.

  • Academic support will be provided to ensure students complete their virtual learning.

  • Students will be in small groups of no more than 15 and each group will be supervised by a DNP staff member. Wi-Fi will be provided with students bringing their own device AND headphones.

  • Learning centers will be available at both our Golden Gate and Hwy 150 Locations.

Health & Safety

Since the beginning of this pandemic Drop-N-Play has safely provided camp and childcare to hundreds of children using stable groups, as well as implementing health and safety guidelines recommended by the CDC, Department of Human Services, and the Guilford County Health Department.

Just as Drop-N-Play has done with its childcare and camp programs this summer, stable groups, where children are with the same group of peers and staff daily to limit the exposure to and spread of COVID-19 will be followed. Additionally, the following procedures will be followed:

  • All children and staff are screened prior to the start of each day to ensure they are healthy. Anyone exhibiting a temperature of 99.9 or higher or other symptoms of illness is not permitted to attend our childcare programs.

  • More frequents handwashing breaks and enhanced disinfecting procedures have been implemented.

What health and safety protocols have been implemented?

Our protocols include but are not limited to:

  1. All children and staff are screened prior to the start of each day to ensure they are healthy. Anyone exhibiting a temperature of 99.9 or above or other symptoms of illness is not permitted to attend our childcare programs. Parents/Guardians MUST wear a face covering when dropping off/picking up their child (State Guideline).

  2. More frequent handwashing breaks and enhanced disinfecting procedures have been implemented.

  3. All staff member are required to wear face masks and gloves at all times.

What will the drop off and pick up process look like?

Drop off and pick up are done curbside with parents and guardians remaining in their cars. When you arrive in the drop off lane, your child’s temperature is taken and you are asked a short series of questions by a staff member who is wearing a mask and gloves. A staff member will escort your child to wash their hands and then to their classroom. When picking up your child please call the facilities designated number and we will escort them to your car. Drop-N-Play staff members are not permitted to buckle any child into their car seat.
